The Gilbert-based quintet Cordelia looks for a chance to capture the Phoenix local music scene and captivate every audience they encounter. With heavy influences from bands like A Day to Remember and Issues, the band aims to find their place in the ever growing Progressive Pop Punk world.
After two years together, Cordelia is developing their sound and making a name for themselves. Cordelia is vocalist Jesse Clark, guitarist Jordan Cuadras, guitarist Kegan DeBacker, bassist Chad Ralph, and drummer Steven Parent.
Being in a band is a learning experience, and Cordelia continues to grow as they progress in their career. Jesse Clark explained how the band used to perform musically and how they have changed.
“Our newest music keeps evolving over time,” said Clark. “When we first got together, a lot of our stuff was fast-paced tempos of 160 and above – we didn’t realize how fast-paced that was in comparison to the music that we all actually listened to.”
The group has slowed it down a bit, but they still bring their hardcore charisma to the stage.
Along with legendary stage presence, Cordelia aims to bring a powerful goal to the stage with them.

“We want to spread our music and our passion to as many people as possible … We want to be the people inspiring others to music. Music saves lives,” Clark explained.
Cordelia hopes to do many great things with their music. Not only do they strive for stardom, but they want to save the world on their way to the top, which is not something all bands can say. The word ‘cordelia’ means sincerity, and this was a group of young men with the most genuine hearts and a true sense of humbleness.
