Volumes – Making Waves in the Music Scene

Founded in 2009 as a recording project, Metalcore band Volumes shredded across the country this past summer on the Monster Energy Stage as part of the 2016 Vans Warped Tour. Taryn It Up caught up with founder Diego Farias at the Wantagh, NY date to chat about how Warped was going for the band and what their single "Feels Good" (released a week before the start of Warped) was all about, among other topics such as gear of choice and the most challenging aspects of being in a band.

Farias' brother Gus Farias was in a popular local band at the time of Volumes start up and was interested in his brother's music so much he decided to join the band as the vocalist. The brothers' friend Raad Soudani heard a demo and immediately joined Volumes as the bass player. Current drummer Nick Ursiched, joined in 2012. Fast forward to the beginning of summer 2016, the band announced ex-vocalist of Bury Your Dead, Myke Terry, as a co-vocalist.
